Installation Procedure

Position the exhaust pipe to the turbocharger, EGR Cooler and the exhaust manifold

IMPORTANT: Position the exhaust pipe gaskets with the tabs shown. Failure to do so will cause improper alignment of the gaskets and result in exhaust leaks.

Install NEW gaskets to the EGR Cooler, Turbocharger and the exhaust manifold.
Loosely install the bolts to the turbocharger, exhaust manifold and EGR cooler.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten the exhaust pipe bolts in the sequence shown to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).
Install the upper exhaust gas recirculation cooling pipe. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooling Pipe Replacement - Upper (LMM) .
Install the turbocharger exhaust pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Replacement (6.6L) .
