Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bracket to the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the washers and the nuts to the bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bracket to frame nuts to 90 N.m (67 lb ft).

  3. For the 6.0L engine, install the air conditioning compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LLY/LMM) , Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LU3) , Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LY2, LY5, LH6, L76, L92 and LMG) or Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (HP2) .
  4. Install the differential carrier assembly. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (1500 FWD)  or Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (2500 4WD) .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
