Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, engine OFF, clear the DTCs.
  2. Observe the scan tool EGR cooler temperature Sensor 2 parameter. The reading should be within the normal range -32 to +899°C (-25.6 to +1650°F), depending on the current ambient temperature and the vehicle operating conditions.
  3. Engine running, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTCs P041C or P041D should not be set.
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
