Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X175 harness connector at the transmission.
- Start the engine. The engine should not crank over.
- If the engine cranks over, refer to Starter Solenoid Does Not Click .
- Remove the transmission oil pan and internal filter. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
- Test the internal wiring harness IMS neutral start switch signal circuit for a short to ground.
- If the circuit tests normal, replace the IMS. Refer to Transmission Internal Mode Switch Replacement .
- Replace the transmission internal wire harness assembly. Refer to Wiring Harness Replacement .
