WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 GMC Sierra, 2009 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2009 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, remove the PSC1, TCC, and MAIN MOD solenoids from the valve body. Refer to Control Valve Solenoid Replacement (SS1, SS2, SS3, TCC, and MAIN MOD) or Control Valve Solenoid Replacement (PCS1 and PCS2) .
- Test for resistance between the following terminals:
- Control circuit terminal 2 and B+ circuit terminal 1 of the PCS1 solenoid
- Control circuit terminal 2 and B+ circuit terminal 1 of the TCC solenoid
- Control circuit terminal B and B+ circuit terminal A of the MAIN MOD solenoid.
Refer to Temperature Versus Resistance (Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor) , Temperature Versus Resistance (Speed Sensor) or Temperature Versus Resistance (Solenoid) .
- If not within the specified range, replace the affected solenoid or solenoids.
NOTE:
You must perform the Circuit/System Testing first.
