Installation Procedure

  1. Disassemble, clean and lubricate the threads of the brake shoe adjuster with high temperature brake lubricant.
  2. Assemble the brake shoe adjuster.

  3. Spread the brake shoes apart slightly and install the brake shoe adjuster (1).

  4. Install the adjuster actuator lever (1) to the pivot pin on the primary brake shoe.

  5. Install the brake shoe adjuster actuator lever spring (1).
  6. Install the brake drum. Refer to Brake Drum Replacement .
