Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

    CAUTION: Do not rotate or pry on the MAP sensor when removing. Damage to the MAP sensor or the intake manifold may result.
  3. Remove the MAP sensor bolt (1).
  4. Using a slight rocking motion while pulling straight up, remove the MAP sensor (2) from the upper intake manifold.
  5. Inspect the MAP sensor seal for damage, replace the seal if necessary.
