Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (7) from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor wiring harness jumper.
  2. Remove the water pump. Refer to Water Pump Replacement (LU3) or Water Pump Replacement (LMM) or Water Pump Replacement (LH6, LY2, LY5, and LMG) or Water Pump Replacement (LY6, L76, and L92) or Water Pump Replacement (LFA) .

  4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
  5. Remove the CMP sensor and wiring harness jumper from the engine front cover.
  6. Disconnect the CMP sensor wiring harness jumper from the CMP sensor.
  7. Remove the CMP sensor from the wiring harness jumper.
