Removal Procedure

  1. Using a scan tool, capture the ECM data.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With Auxiliary Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With Dual Batteries) .
  3. Disconnect the ECM electrical connectors (2).

  5. Release the ECM upper retaining tabs.
  6. Remove the ECM from the bracket.
