Preliminary Procedures Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Chevrolet) , Headlamp Replacement (GMC HD) or Headlamp Replacement (HD Diesel) . Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement . Remove the front fender rear upper brace. Refer to Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement . Remove the auxiliary battery tray. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Tray Replacement Remove the left hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement . Remove the left hood link. Refer to Hood Link Replacement . Remove the underhood electrical center/junction block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement . Remove the left wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Left Side (Chevrolet) or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Left Side (GMC) .
1	Left Fender Mounting Bolt (Qty: 6) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure: Apply threadlock compound to the bolts. Tighten: 30 N.m (22 lb ft)
2	Left Fender Mounting Nut (Qty: 2) Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
3	Left Fender Tip: Transfer any necessary additional parts as needed.
