Preliminary Procedures Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement . Remove the upper fan shroud bolts. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement (Non-HP2) or Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement (HP2) . Remove the upper radiator bolts. Refer to Radiator Replacement (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L) , Radiator Replacement (HP2) or Radiator Replacement (LMM) . Remove the upper condenser bolts. Refer to Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement (LMM Diesel) or Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement (Gas) . Remove the Charge Air Cooler if equipped. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Replacement Remove The Radiator air baffles. Remove right/left headlamps Headlamp Replacement (Chevrolet) , Headlamp Replacement (GMC HD) or Headlamp Replacement (HD Diesel)
1	Upper Tie Bar Bolts (Qty: 6) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	Upper Tie Bar Brace Bolts (Qty: 2) Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
