Adjustment Procedure

- With the endgate closed, determine the amount of adjustment will be needed.
- If adjustment is necessary, remove the endgate. Refer to Endgate Replacement .
- Mark the position of the hinges with a grease pencil.
- Loosen the endgate bolts and adjust the endgate hinges by moving the hinges in the following directions.
- Upward or downward
- Inward or outward
- Reinstall the endgate and determine if any further adjustments are needed.
- When the proper adjustments are set, tighten the hinge bolts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
NOTE:
Use a screwdriver to move the adjustment hinge.
