Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter Replacement (Crew Cab)

Preliminary Procedure: 
It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in the Headliner Replacement that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Crew Cab) , Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Extended Cab) or Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Regular Cab)
1 Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter

Procedure

  1. Only the remove the drain hose side that is being work on. Refer to Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose Replacement .
  2. Release the sunroof housing drain gutter clips located on the edge of the housing.
  3. Clean all of the old sealer from the drain gutter and the frame rail.
  4. Apply Kent Automotive High-Tech Clear Sealer (P/N P0102 5 ounce tube or equivalent to the sunroof drain gutter on the path shown above.
  5. After installing the drain gutter, smooth out any sealer that may have squeezed out so there is a smooth transition between the gutter and the frame rail so water will not dam up or block the drain opening.
  6. Verify the drain gutter is fully engaged to the frame rail.
