Thermostat Bypass Pipe Replacement (Diesel)

- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
- Remove the fan pulley. Refer to Fan Pulley Replacement .
- Remove Thermostat Bypass Pipe Bolts. 21 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Thermostat Bypass Pipe to Turbocharger Outlet Cooler Pipe Clamp. Procedure Reposition the thermostat bypass pipe to turbocharger outlet cooler pipe clamp using the BO-38185 Hose Clamp Pliers. Replace hose clamp if necessary.
- Thermostat Bypass Pipe Tip: Install new O-ring seals. Lubricate using clean engine coolant.
