Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

NOTE: A special anti-seize compound is used on the oxygen sensor threads. New service sensors should already have the compound applied to the threads. Coat the threads of a reused sensor with anti-seize compound P/N 5613695 or equivalent.

NOTE: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice .

Install the HO2S to the catalytic converter.
Tighten: Tighten the HO2S to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
Lower the vehicle.

Install the HO2S electrical connector to the wiring harness bracket.
Connect the HO2S electrical connector.
Install the fuel injector sight shield, if necessary. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) .
