Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) .
  2. Remove the high pressure pump shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LLT) .
  3. Relieve fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (With CH 48027 - LY7)  or Fuel Pressure Relief (Without CH 48027 - LY7)  or Fuel Pressure Relief (With High Pressure Pump - LLT) .

  4. Loosen the fuel rail crossover pipe (1) fitting to the right fuel rail (2).
  5. Loosen the fuel rail crossover pipe (1) fitting to the right fuel rail (3).
  6. Remove the fuel rail crossover pipe (1) from the vehicle. Discard this pipe.
