Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM REPLACEMENT (WITH LY7 AND LLT) or EXHAUST SYSTEM REPLACEMENT (WITH LP1)
  2. Steps 3-5 apply to Sedan/Wagon only. Proceed to step 6 for Coupe
  3. Place a jack stand under the rear differential assembly

  4. Remove the two front differential mounting bolts.
  5. Lower the differential slightly to provide additional clearance to the Evap canister
  6. Remove the two EVAP canister retaining nuts and lower the rear of the canister enough to clear the weld studs
  7. Slide the canister rearward from the body brace to gain access to the canister vent valve
  8. Clean away any debris that may be present around the EVAP canister vent valve
  9. Disconnect the electrical connector from the EVAP canister vent valve

  10. Twist the EVAP canister vent valve counterclockwise
  11. Pull the EVAP canister vent valve from the EVAP canister
