Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .
  2. Using the J 38185  , disengage the tension on the hose clamp and remove the radiator outlet hose from the thermostat housing. See Special Tools .
  3. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the engine support bracket.

  5. Using the J 38185  , disengage the tension on the hose clamp and remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator. See Special Tools .
  6. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the vehicle.
