Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the brake hose fitting bolt (1) with 2 new brake hose fitting gaskets (2) to the brake hose (3).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the brake hose assembly to the caliper.

    Tighten:  Tighten the brake hose fitting bolt to 49 N.m (36 lb ft).

  5. Install the brake hose retainer bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the brake hose retainer bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Connect the wheel speed sensor wire harness clip (2) to the brake hose retainer.

  8. Install the front brake hose retainer clip (1).

  10. Connect the front brake pipe fitting (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  11. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
  12. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
