Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the rear wheel drive shaft. Refer to Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (RWD) or Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (AWD) .

  3. Using the J 24420-C  and the J 2619-01  , remove the rear drive axle flange.

  4. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, remove the drive axle flange axle seal (1) from the differential side cover (2).
