1. Remove the differential assembly (2) from the carrier (1).

2. Using the J 24433  and a hammer, remove the axle seal (1) from the side cover (2).

3. Using the J 24433  and a hammer, remove the axle oil seal (1) from the differential housing (2).

4. Install the J 45008  (2) behind the bearing cup (3).
IMPORTANT: Mark or tag the shim and the race carrier.
5. Place the carrier in a press.
6. Place the J 24433  (1) against J 45008  (2) and press out the cup.
