Installation Procedure

  1. Install the shock to the vehicle.
  2. Fig 1: Identifying Lower Shock Mounting Bolt

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the lower shock mounting bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 150 N.m (111 lb ft).

  5. Guide the shock to the body while lowering the vehicle.

  7. Install the upper shock mounting nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  8. Reposition the sound insulator around the shock tower.
  9. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
