Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove the rear park brake cable from brake rotor. Refer to Park Brake Cable Mounting Bracket Replacement .
- Remove the park brake backing plate. Refer to Park Brake Backing Plate Replacement .
- Remove the adjustable link. Refer to Adjust Link Replacement .
- Position a suitable jack stand under the lower control arm.
- Remove the upper ball joint from the knuckle. Refer to Upper Control Arm Replacement .
- Remove the lower shock absorber bolt from the knuckle. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement .
- Remove the bolt from the lower trailing arm to the knuckle. Refer to Trailing Arm Replacement .
- Remove the bolt from the lower control arm to the knuckle. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement .
- Remove the knuckle from the vehicle.
IMPORTANT:
Position the jack stand under the lower control top support the rear spring.
