Removal Procedure

Remove the upper exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield lower bolt.
Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Remove the lower exhaust manifold heat shield retainers (1), if necessary.
Remove the lower exhaust manifold heat shield (2), if necessary.
