Installation Procedure

  1. Install a NEW camshaft cover seal and NEW grommets.
    2. Fig 1: Removing & Installing Camshaft Cover

  2. Install the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Installation - Right Side .

  3. Install the ignition coils.

  4. Install the wiring harness to the front of the camshaft cover.
  5. Install the wiring harness conduit retainers to the wiring harness conduit.

  6. Install the wiring harness to the side of the camshaft cover.

  7. Connect the ignition coil electrical connectors.
  8. Install the upper intake manifold with the lower intake manifold. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (LY7) .
  9. Install the engine cover. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LY7)  or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) .
