Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Identifying Camshaft Cover Seal & Grommets

Install a NEW camshaft cover seal (1) and NEW grommets (2).
Install the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Installation - Left Side (LY7) or Camshaft Cover Installation - Left Side (LLT) .

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the ignition coils (2).
Install the ignition coil bolts (1).
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Connect the camshaft actuator valves (2) and the camshaft position sensor (1) electrical connectors.
Install the wiring harness conduit retainers to the wiring harness conduit.

Install the wiring harness to the side of the camshaft cover.

Connect the ignition coil electrical connectors.
Install the crankcase ventilation pipe. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LY7) or Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LLT) .
Install the fuel pipe shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LLT) .
Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
