Preliminary Procedure: Remove the front compartment sight shields. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
1	Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Bolt (Qty: 3) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Procedure Disconnect the remote start electrical connector, if equipped. Disconnect the release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the cable retainer.

Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)

Procedure

Disconnect the remote start electrical connector, if equipped.
Disconnect the release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the cable retainer.
