Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle and suitably support. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Pull down on the intermediate park brake cable (2) near the park brake connector (1).
  4. Disconnect the intermediate park brake cable (2) from the park brake cable connector (1).

  6. Disconnect the left rear park brake cable (2) from the equalizer (1).

  8. Use the J 37043  in order to depress the left rear park brake cable retainer. See Special Tools .
  9. Remove the left rear park brake cable (2) from the left rear park brake cable support bracket (1).

  11. Disconnect the left rear park brake cable (2) from the left rear park brake actuator lever (3).
  12. Use the J 37043  in order to depress the retainer on the left rear park brake cable (2). See Special Tools .
  13. Remove the left rear park brake cable (2) from the left rear park brake cable support bracket (1).
