Installation Procedure

  1. Install the park brake cable bracket.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the park brake cable bracket nuts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the park brake cable bracket nuts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  3. Install the park brake cable to the park brake cable bracket (1).
  4. Ensure the locking tabs are properly seated.
  5. Connect the rear park brake cable (2) to the park brake actuator lever (3).

  6. Connect the intermediate park brake cable connector (1) to the front park brake cable (2).
  7. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Cycle the park brake pedal 1 to 2 times.
