Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition OFF, all accessories OFF, install a CH-48027  . See Special Tools . Refer to Fuel Pressure Gage Installation and Removal .
  2. Ignition ON, command the Fuel Pump Flow Control Module Fuel Pump ON and OFF several times with the scan tool.
  3. Verify the CH-48027 Digital Pressure Gauge is greater than 275 kPa (40 PSI). If less the 275 kPa (40 PSI), refer to FUEL SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS (W/FPCM) .
  4. Engine at idle, with a scan tool increase and decrease the Fuel Pump Flow Control Module Fuel Pressure Control.
  5. Verify the scan tool Fuel Pressure Sensor display is within 20 kPa (3 PSI) of the CH-48027 Digital Pressure Gauge.
    • If not within 20 kPa (3 PSI), refer to Circuit/System Testing  .
    • If within 20 kPa (3 PSI) and the Fuel Pump Flow Control Module Fuel Pump Signal Command is 100%, replace the fuel pump flow control module.
