Removal Procedure

Remove the radiator grille. Refer to Radiator Grille Replacement (Chevrolet) or Radiator Grille Replacement (GMC) .

Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the auxiliary oil cooler (2). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .

Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the radiator (1). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .

Remove the cooling lines from the transmission (1). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
Remove the oil cooling lines from the vehicle.
