Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The object alarm module sets a DTC.
The object alarm module commands ON the information center telltale red indicator and disables the object detection system.
The object alarm module will send a serial data communication message to the instrument panel (I/P) to scroll SERVICE PARK ASSIST message on the driver information center (DIC), if equipped, and the chime will sound.
