Installation Procedure

- Install the wheel drive shaft in the steering knuckle.
- Install the NEW nut (1) and washer (2).
- Install the retaining bolts and finger tighten.
- Insert a drift or large screwdriver through the brake caliper into one of the brake rotor vanes in order to prevent the wheel drive shaft from turning.
- Tighten the wheel driver shaft retaining bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the retaining bolts to 79 N.m (58 lb ft).
- Tighten the wheel drive shaft retaining nut.
Tighten: Tighten the retaining nut to 240 N.m (177 lb ft).
- Remove the drift or large screwdriver from the brake rotor.
- Install the shock module. Refer to Shock Absorber and Spring Assembly Replacement .
- Install the stabilizer shaft link from the lower control arm. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Replacement (2500, 3500) or Stabilizer Shaft Replacement (1500) .
- Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Lower the vehicle.
IMPORTANT:
Install the NEW nut and washer, but DO NOT tighten at this time.
