Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the radiator grille. Refer to Radiator Grille Replacement (Chevrolet) or Radiator Grille Replacement (GMC) .
  2. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  5. Disconnect the power steering fluid cooler hose (3) from the steering gear (2).
  6. Disconnect the power steering fluid cooler hose (4) from the power steering pump (1).

  8. Remove the power steering fluid cooler bolts (2).
  9. Remove the power steering fluid cooler (1) from the vehicle.
