Pickup Box Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Loosen the fuel tank filler pipe housing from the pickup box. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement . Remove the endgate. Refer to Endgate Replacement (Pickup Box) . Remove the tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement (Chevrolet) or Tail Lamp Replacement (GMC) . Disconnect all electrical connectors and wiring harnesses from the pickup box.
1	Pickup Box Bolt (Qty: 8) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 85 N.m (63 lb ft)
2	Pickup Box Tip: Use help as needed to remove the pickup box. Use the alignment pins on the frame of the vehicle to help reinstall the pickup box. Transfer any parts as needed if replacing the pickup box.

Tighten: 85 N.m (63 lb ft)

Tip:

Use help as needed to remove the pickup box.
