Installation Procedure

  1. Install the left side rear door lower latch (2) to the door.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the bolts (4) in order to retain the left side rear door lower latch (4) to the door.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the lock rod to the left side rear door lower latch (4).
  4. Install the left side rear door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR - 60/40 LEFT (E26, 40 DOOR) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR - 60/40 LEFT (E26, 60 DOOR) .
