Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the sliding side door lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Sliding Door .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from the sliding side door lock (1).
  3. Remove the wiring harness retainers (2) from the sliding side door.
  4. Remove the rivets (4), that retain the electrical contacts to the sliding side door, using an appropriate drill and drill bit.
  5. Remove the wiring harness (3) from the sliding side door.
