Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the side door trim plate. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement - Rear .
  2. Remove the side door pull handle screws.
  3. Remove the side door pull handle.
  4. Use the J 38778  to disengage the retainers around the outside edges of the lower portion of the door trim panel (1).
  5. Carefully pull the door trim panel (1) out of the retainers around the window opening.

    A long flat bladed tool may be necessary to aid in releasing the door trim panel (1) from the window opening retainers.

  6. Remove the front door panel (1) from the vehicle.
