Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to ZONE 5 .
  2. Remove the bolts (2) from the lower edge of the instrument panel passenger knee bolster panel (1).
  3. Pull on the I/P passenger knee bolster panel (1) in order to disengage the retainers.
  4. Remove the I/P passenger knee bolster panel (1) from the vehicle.
  5. Inspect the I/P passenger knee bolster panel (1) for broken or missing retainers.

    Replace the retainers as needed.
