Removal Procedure

  1. Install the J-42640 in the steering column lower access hole.
  2. Remove the intermediate shaft bearing. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Bearing Replacement .

  3. Remove the intermediate shaft seal (1) from the intermediate shaft bearing (2).
