Installation Procedure

  1. Position the engine mount to the engine.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution
  2. Install the engine mount to engine bolts (1) and tighten to 50 N.m (37 lb ft)  .
  3. Using the adjustable jack, lower the engine until the engine mount is sitting flush on the frame.
  4. Remove the adjustable jack and block of wood from the engine oil pan.
  5. Partially lower the vehicle.

  6. Install the engine mount to frame bolts (1). Tighten: 65 N.m (48 lb ft)  starting with the middle bolt then either side bolt.
  7. Install the right wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side .
  8. Raise the vehicle
  9. Install the knock sensor. Refer to Knock Sensor 2 Replacement .
  10. Install the starter motor. Refer to Starter Replacement (V8) or Starter Replacement (V6) .
  11. Install the right front differential carrier bracket. Tighten the front differential carrier mounting bracket bolts to 100 N.m (74 lb ft)  .
  12. Support and raise the differential carrier with a transmission jack.
  13. Install the right differential carrier mounting nuts and washers and tighten to 100 N.m (75 lb ft)  .
  14. Remove the transmission jack from the differential carrier.
  15. Install the front stabilizer shaft insulators. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement .
  16. Install the clip for the transmission cooler lines.
  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
