Shift Detent Lever Bearing Replacement

Preliminary Procedure
- Using the J 7079-2
, remove the bearings from the front case half. See Special Tools .
- Ensure the bearings are installed squarely into the bearing bores.

Transfer Case Shift Detent Lever Bearing - Inner Tip:
- Ensure the printing on the bearing is facing upward.
- Install the bearing using the long side of the DT-48215
. See Special Tools .
- Press the bearing until the tool bottoms on the front case half.

- Ensure the printing on the bearing is facing upward.
- Install the bearing using the short side of the DT-48215

- Press the bearing until the tool bottoms on the front case half.
