Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the radiator grille. Refer to Radiator Grille Replacement (Chevrolet) or Radiator Grille Replacement (GMC) or Radiator Grille Replacement (Chevrolet HD) or Radiator Grille Replacement (GMC HD) .
  2. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the auxiliary cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  4. Remove the auxiliary oil cooler bolts (1).
  5. Remove the auxiliary oil cooler from the vehicle (2).
