Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary oil cooler to the vehicle (2).
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the auxiliary oil cooler bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  4. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines to the auxiliary cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
  5. Install the radiator grille. Refer to Radiator Grille Replacement (Chevrolet) or Radiator Grille Replacement (GMC) .
  6. Check and add transmission fluid as necessary.
