Filler Tube: Installation

  1. Install a NEW oil level indicator tube seal into the transmission case. Install the bottom of oil level indicator tube into the seal. See Figure . Remove the safety stands. Lower the vehicle.
  2. Install the upper fill tube to the vehicle. Install the bolt and the nut securing the oil level indicator tube brackets to the engine. Tighten the bolt and nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the nut securing the oil level indicator tube to the transmission stud and tighten the nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . On all models, install the air cleaner.
  4. Install the oil level indicator. Install air cleaner. Install engine cover. Adjust fluid level as necessary. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS  and FLUID CAPACITIES  under LUBRICATION.
