Keyless Entry Antenna - Console Passive

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The console passive keyless entry antenna is located in the center console and is controlled by the RCDLR. It has a small pocket next to it where the transmitter can be inserted if the transmitter battery is dead, weak, or the RF signal is being interrupted.

The purpose of the console passive antenna is to send a low frequency RF challenge to a programmed transmitter within the interior of the vehicle when the ignition mode switch is rotated.
