Removal Procedure

- Remove the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
- Remove the master cylinder assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement .
- Using a suitable drift from the inboard side of the master cylinder, carefully drive out the secondary reservoir retaining pin (1).
- Using a suitable drift from the outboard side of the master cylinder, carefully drive out the primary reservoir retaining pin (1).
- Remove the master cylinder reservoir (1).
- Remove the secondary master cylinder reservoir seal (1).
- Remove the primary master cylinder reservoir seal (2).
- If installing a new master cylinder reservoir, remove the master cylinder fluid level sensor. Refer to Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Replacement .
