Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
  2. Remove the master cylinder assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement .
  3. Using a suitable drift from the inboard side of the master cylinder, carefully drive out the secondary reservoir retaining pin (1).

  5. Using a suitable drift from the outboard side of the master cylinder, carefully drive out the primary reservoir retaining pin (1).

  7. Remove the master cylinder reservoir (1).

  9. Remove the secondary master cylinder reservoir seal (1).
  10. Remove the primary master cylinder reservoir seal (2).
  11. If installing a new master cylinder reservoir, remove the master cylinder fluid level sensor. Refer to Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Replacement .
