Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cross car brace, if necessary. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement .
  2. Remove the oil fill cap (1).
  3. Disengage the cover/shield (2) from the ball studs by pulling up firmly on the right and left front of the engine cover.
  4. Pull engine cover/sight shield forward to remove from rear tabs (3).
  5. Remove the engine cover/sight shield.
  6. Remove the front compartment sight shield, if necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
