Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the tower brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement .
  2. Remove the nut (1) from the top of the engine mount.
  3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Position a screw jack and a block of wood under the engine oil pan.

  5. Remove the right and left engine mount lower nut (1).

  6. Using the screw jack, raise the engine enough to remove the engine mount (1).

  7. Be sure to remove the engine mount slotted washer (1) or plastisol insert washer (2) between the engine mount and the frame.
