Installation Procedure

  1. Position the IPC to the I/P.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the IPC.
  3. Install the IPC to the I/P.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the screws to the instrument panel cluster.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  6. Install the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate, GMC or Oldsmobile only. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (GMC)  or Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Oldsmobile/Buick) .
  7. Install the instrument panel cluster (IPC) bezel, Chevrolet only. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Chevrolet)  or Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (GMC/Oldsmobile/Buick) .
  8. Install the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster .
  9. Install the left closeout insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left .
  10. If installing a new IPC. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Programming.
